The Gaston Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries. Everyone is welcome. There is no residency or income requirement, and we are “feral friendly”. Our clinic is a mentee clinic in the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance Clinic Mentorship Network. Our focus is spay/neuter and affordable veterinary care.

We are very efficient and our staff is specially trained in the most up-to-date surgical procedures. Our licensed veterinarians are skilled surgeons who are able to devote their entire attention to surgeries. In addition to spay/neuter we offer veterinary care at reasonable prices. Because we are a non-profit, our prices are low.

We are operated by the Animal League of Gaston County – a 501(c)3 non-profit.

We've received a $10,000 grant investment from national nonprofit Petco Love in support of our lifesaving work for pets in Gaston County.

This generous gift will help us complete construction of our new, state-of-the-art affordable vet hospital. The Petco investment is part of $1.5M in grants recently announced by Petco Love for more than 170 spay/neuter clinics and other low-cost veterinary care providers to help increase access to veterinary care for pets in their communities. The lifesaving investments are also being granted to reduce economic euthanasia, and the surrender of pets to shelters when families are not able to afford needed veterinary treatment.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to promote companion animal welfare
in the community through advocacy, education and service.

The ALGC Board meets the 3rd Monday of each month from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Meeting location is the downstairs board room at the clinic. The meetings are open to the general public and we welcome you to join us.

Ruth's Garden

This unique Garden was established by Ms. Ruth Waggoner. It is a tranquil oasis where you can celebrate your special event, memorialize your beloved animal or honor that special "pet person" in your life. It features butterfly gardens, a fountain, stone benches, and a shaded pergola that provide a serene and beautiful place for a quiet moment or joyous occasion. This beautiful venue in historic Gastonia, NC is perfect for a small wedding, birthday party, business after hours or quinceanera.
