In 2012, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center handled more than 180,000 cases of pets being exposed to possibly poisonous substances. Topping the toxins list for the fifth year in a row are human prescription medications.
Our Mission is to end the unnecessary suffering and deaths of healthy dogs and cats by providing high-quality low-cost spay/neuter services to all pet owners regardless of income.
We are a National Spay/Neuter Response Team and are supported by Petsmart Charities ®.
The Gaston Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries. Everyone is welcome. There is no residency or income requirement, and we are “feral friendly”.
Our focus is spay/neuter. We are very efficient and our staff is specially trained in the most up-to-date surgical procedures. Our licensed veterinarians are skilled surgeons who are able to devote their entire attention to surgeries. We are not a full-service veterinary practice; therefore, we can concentrate on performing surgeries. Because we are a non-profit, our prices are low. We are owned by the Animal League of Gaston County – a 501(c)3 non-profit.
We opened in July 2009 and our clinic has done over 15,000 surgeries so far.
Please check out our friendly staff.
